Delete your GutMaxx Diary data
GutMaxx Diary by Josh Bates. GutMaxx Diary has no accounts. Your diary is stored only on your phone.
- Your diary: in the app, go to Settings > Delete all data, or Settings > Privacy > Withdraw consent. Either one deletes your diary entries, your chosen ingredients and symptoms, your meal photos and the products you’ve logged from barcode scans from your phone, and starts new usage and crash-report IDs. Your reminders, app lock and privacy choices (usage stats and crash reports on or off) are kept until you change them or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app also deletes it. If you saved backup files or exported PDFs or CSVs, delete those yourself, since we can’t reach them.
- Usage stats and crash reports: before you delete anything, open Settings > Privacy and tap Copy next to your crash-report ID (and your usage ID, if usage stats are on). Email them to hello@gutmaxx.co.uk and we’ll delete that data within one month. Resetting an ID or using Delete all stops new data being linked to the old ID. It doesn’t delete what was already sent. Otherwise usage stats and crash reports are deleted automatically after a set period; see “How long we keep things” in our privacy policy.
- Subscriptions: cancel in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions (https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). To keep your subscription working, Delete all keeps a random subscription ID. To delete subscription data held by RevenueCat, open Settings > Privacy, tap Copy next to your subscription ID, and email it to hello@gutmaxx.co.uk. Payment records are kept as required for tax and accounting law, and Google keeps its own records under its privacy policy. If you never tapped to start a trial, subscribe or Restore purchases, there’s no subscription ID and RevenueCat holds nothing about you.
- Barcode lookups: Open Food Facts keeps its own server logs. Contact them via openfoodfacts.org.
- Emails to us: ask us to delete them, or they’re deleted a limited time after your question is closed.
